Salmi 28

1A Te, o Signore, alzerò le mie grida: Dio mio, non istare in silenzio con me, affinchè, tacendo tu, non sia io come quelli che scendono nella fossa.

2Esaudisci, o Signore, la voce delle mie suppliche, mentre io ti prego, mentre alzo le mani mie al tuo tempio santo.

3Non mi prendere insieme co' peccatori, e non mi sperdere con quelli, che commettono l'iniquità: I quali parlano di pace col prossimo loro, ma ne' loro cuori covano il male.

4Rendi a questi secondo le opere loro, e secondo la malvagità delle loro macchinazioni. Da ad essi secondo le opere delle mani loro: rendi ad essi la lor ricompensa.

5Perché non hanno intese le opere del Signore, né quello, che ha fatto la mano di lui; tu li distruggerai, e non li ristorerai.

6Benedetto il Signore, perché La esaudito la voce della mia orazione.

7Il Signore mio aiuto, e mio protettore: in lui sperò il cuor mio, o fai sovvenuto. E rifiorì la mia carne, ed io col mio affetto a lui darò laude.

8Il Signore è fortezza del suo popolo, ed è protettore della salvazione del suo Cristo.

9Salva, o Signore, il popol tuo, e benedici la tua eredità, e sii loro pastore, e ingrandiscili fino all'eternità.

1Psalmus ipsi David. [Ad te, Domine, clamabo; Deus meus, ne sileas a me: nequando taceas a me, et assimilabor descendentibus in lacum.

2Exaudi, Domine, vocem deprecationis meæ dum oro ad te; dum extollo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum.

3Ne simul trahas me cum peccatoribus, et cum operantibus iniquitatem ne perdas me; qui loquuntur pacem cum proximo suo, mala autem in cordibus eorum.

4Da illis secundum opera eorum, et secundum nequitiam adinventionum ipsorum. Secundum opera manuum eorum tribue illis; redde retributionem eorum ipsis.

5Quoniam non intellexerunt opera Domini, et in opera manuum ejus destrues illos, et non ædificabis eos.

6Benedictus Dominus, quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis meæ.

7Dominus adjutor meus et protector meus; in ipso speravit cor meum, et adjutus sum: et refloruit caro mea, et ex voluntate mea confitebor ei.

8Dominus fortitudo plebis suæ, et protector salvationum christi sui est.

9Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine, et benedic hæreditati tuæ; et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in æternum.]

1A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

2Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.

3Draw me not away together with the wicked; and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not: Who speak peace with their neighbour, but evils are in their hearts.

4Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward.

5Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.

6Blessed be the Lord, for he hath heard the voice of my supplication.

7The Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him.

8The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.

9Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever.
