Salmi 25

1Salmo di Davidde. A Te, o Signore, innalzai l'anima mia:

2Dio mio, in te confido, non abbia io da arrossire.

3Né mi deridano i miei nemici; imperocché tutti coloro, che ti aspettano non rimarranno confusi.

4Siano confusi tutti coloro, che invano commettono l'iniquità. Mostrami le tue vie, o Signore, e insegnami i tuoi sentieri.

5Fa ch'io cammini nella tua verità, e ammaestrami, perché tu se' il Dio mio Salvatore, e te ho io aspettato tutto il giorno.

6Ricordati di tue misericordie, o Signore, delle tue misericordie, che furono ne' secoli addietro.

7Non ti ricordare de' delitti di mia giovinezza, né delle mie ignoranze. Secondo la tua misericordia abbi memoria di me, o Signore, per la tua benignità.

8Il Signore è buono, e giusto; per questo ei darà a' peccatori la legge della via da tenere.

9Condurrà gli umili alla giustizia; insegnerà le sue vie ai mansueti.

10Tutte le vie del Signore (sono) misericordia, e verità per coloro, che cercano il testamento di lui, e i suoi comandamenti.

11Pel nome tuo, o Signore, tu per donerai il mio peccato; perché egli è grande.

12Che uomo è quello, che teme il Signore? (Dio) ha data a lui la legge della via, ch'egli elesse.

13L'anima di lui sarà nella copia de' beni, e la stirpe di lui avrà in retaggio la terra.

14Il Signore è sostegno di color che lo temono; e il testamento di lui è per essere ad essi manifestato.

15Gli occhi miei sempre rivolti al Signore; perché egli trarrà dal laccio i miei piedi.

16A me volgi il tuo sguardo, e abbi pietà di me, perché io son solo, e son povero.

17Le tribolazioni del mio cuore sono moltiplicate: tu mi libera da' miei affanni.

18Mira la mia abbiezione, e le mie pene, e perdona tutti li miei peccati.

19Pon mente a' miei nemici, come son molti di numero, e ingiustamente mi odiano.

20Custodisci l'anima mia, e dammi salute: non abbia io da arrossire, perché ho sperato in te.

21Gli innocenti, e quelli di retto cuore si sono uniti con me, perché io ti ho aspettato.

22O Dio, libera Israele da tutte le sue afflizioni.

1In finem. Psalmus David. [Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam:

2Deus meus, in te confido; non erubescam.

3Neque irrideant me inimici mei: etenim universi qui sustinent te, non confundentur.

4Confundantur omnes iniqua agentes supervacue. Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi, et semitas tuas edoce me.

5Dirige me in veritate tua, et doce me, quia tu es Deus salvator meus, et te sustinui tota die.

6Reminiscere miserationum tuarum, Domine, et misericordiarum tuarum quæ a sæculo sunt.

7Delicta juventutis meæ, et ignorantias meas, ne memineris. Secundum misericordiam tuam memento mei tu, propter bonitatem tuam, Domine.

8Dulcis et rectus Dominus; propter hoc legem dabit delinquentibus in via.

9Diriget mansuetos in judicio; docebit mites vias suas.

10Universæ viæ Domini, misericordia et veritas, requirentibus testamentum ejus et testimonia ejus.

11Propter nomen tuum, Domine, propitiaberis peccato meo; multum est enim.

12Quis est homo qui timet Dominum? legem statuit ei in via quam elegit.

13Anima ejus in bonis demorabitur, et semen ejus hæreditabit terram.

14Firmamentum est Dominus timentibus eum; et testamentum ipsius ut manifestetur illis.

15Oculi mei semper ad Dominum, quoniam ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos.

16Respice in me, et miserere mei, quia unicus et pauper sum ego.

17Tribulationes cordis mei multiplicatæ sunt: de necessitatibus meis erue me.

18Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum, et dimitte universa delicta mea.

19Respice inimicos meos, quoniam multiplicati sunt, et odio iniquo oderunt me.

20Custodi animam meam, et erue me: non erubescam, quoniam speravi in te.

21Innocentes et recti adhæserunt mihi, quia sustinui te.

22Libera, Deus, Israël ex omnibus tribulationibus suis.]

1Unto the end, a psalm for David. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.

2In thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me not be ashamed.

3Neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on thee shall be confounded.

4Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.

5Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.

6Remember, O Lord, thy bowels of compassion; and thy mercies that are from the beginning of the world.

7The sins of my youth and my ignorances do not remember. According to thy mercy remember thou me: for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

8The Lord is sweet and righteous: therefore he will give a law to sinners in the way.

9He will guide the mild in judgment: he will teach the meek his ways.

10All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to them that seek after his covenant and his testimonies.

11For thy name’s sake, O Lord, thou wilt pardon my sin: for it is great.

12Who is the man that feareth the Lord? He hath appointed him a law in the way he hath chosen.

13His soul shall dwell in good things: and his seed shall inherit the land.

14The Lord is a firmament to them that fear him: and his covenant shall be made manifest to them.

15My eyes are ever towards the Lord: for he shall pluck my feet out of the snare.

16Look thou upon me, and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor.

17The troubles of my heart are multiplied: deliver me from my necessities.

18See my abjection and my labour; and forgive me all my sins.

19Consider my enemies for they are multiplied, and have hated me with an unjust hatred.

20Keep thou my soul, and deliver me: I shall not be ashamed, for I have hoped in thee.

21The innocent and the upright have adhered to me: because I have waited on thee.

22Deliver Israel, O God, from all his tribulations.
