Éxodo 30

1“Harás también un Altar para quemar el incienso. De madera de acacia lo harás.

2Será cuadrado: de un codo de largo y de un codo de ancho, y su altura será de dos codos. Sus cuernos formarán un mismo cuerpo con él.

3Lo revestirás de oro puro, tanto su parte superior como sus cuatro lados, y sus cuernos. Le harás en torno una guirnalda de oro,

4y debajo de la guirnalda, a los costados, dos anillos. Hazlos a ambos lados, para pasar por ellas las varas con que transportarlo.

5Fabricarás las varas tomando madera de acacia y las recubrirás de oro.

6Lo colocarás delante del velo que está ante el Arca del Testimonio y ante el propiciatorio que se halla encima del Testimonio, donde Yo me entrevistaré contigo.

7Aarón quemará en él incienso aromático; lo quemará todas las mañanas, al preparar las lámparas,

8y lo quemará Aarón también cuando entre las dos tardes preparare las luces. Será incienso continuo ante Yahvé de generación en generación.

9No ofrezcáis sobre él incienso extraño, ni holocausto ni ofrendas, ni derraméis sobre él libación alguna.

10Una vez al año hará Aarón expiación sobre los cuernos de este altar con la sangre del sacrificio por el pecado. Una vez cada año hará sobre él expiación para vuestros descendientes. Cosa santísima es esta para Yahvé.”

11Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:

12“Cuando contares el número de los hijos de Israel, para hacer su censo, cada uno de ellos pagará a Yahvé un rescate por su vida al ser empadronados, para que no haya plaga entre ellos con motivo del empadronamiento.

13Esto es lo que ha de dar cada uno de los empadronados: medio siclo, según el peso del Santuario. Un siclo son veinte gueras. Medio siclo es, pues, el tributo que se ha de dar a Yahvé.

14Todos los empadronados, de veinte años para arriba, pagarán el tributo a Yahvé.

15El rico no dará más, ni el pobre menos del medio siclo, al pagar el tributo a Yahvé como rescate de vuestras vidas.

16Tomarás el dinero del rescate de parte de los hijos de Israel, para emplearlo en el servicio del Tabernáculo de la Reunión; y será para los hijos de Israel un recuerdo ante Yahvé para el rescate de sus vidas.”

17Habló Yahvé a Moisés diciendo:

18“Haz una pila de bronce con su base de bronce para las abluciones. Colócala entre el Tabernáculo de la Reunión y el altar y echa agua en ella,

19para que Aarón y sus hijos se laven en ella las manos y los pies.

20Antes de entrar en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión se han de lavar con agua para que no mueran, y también antes de acercarse al altar para el ministerio, para quemar un sacrificio en honor de Yahvé.

21Se lavarán las manos y los pies, para que no mueran. Esta será ley perpetua para ellos, para Aarón y sus descendientes de generación en generación.”

22Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:

23“Y tú, toma de los mejores aromas de mirra pura quinientos (siclos); de canela aromática la mitad de esto, o sea doscientos cincuenta, de caña aromática doscientos cincuenta,

24de casia quinientos, según el siclo del Santuario, y un hin de aceite de olivas.

25Con ello formarás el óleo para la unción sagrada, perfume oloroso compuesto según el arte de perfumería. Este será el óleo para la unción sagrada.

26Con él ungirás el Tabernáculo de la Reunión y el Arca del Testimonio,

27la mesa con todos sus utensilios, el candelabro con todos sus utensilios, el altar del incienso,

28el altar del holocausto con todos sus utensilios y la pila con su base.

29Así los santificarás y serán cosa santísima. Todo el que los toque quedará santificado.

30Ungirás también a Aarón y a sus hijos y los consagrarás, para que me sirvan de sacerdotes.”

31Y hablarás a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: “Este será para Mí el óleo de la unción sagrada de generación en generación.

32No debe derramarse sobre ningún hombre, y en cuanto a su composición no haréis ninguno parecido a él. Santo es y lo tendréis por cosa sagrada.

33Cualquiera que elabore algo semejante o derrame de él sobre persona extraña será exterminado de en medio de su pueblo.”

34Dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “Toma por cantidades iguales los siguientes aromas: resina, uña odorífera y gálbano, especias aromáticas e incienso puro.

35Con ello harás, según el arte de perfumería, un incienso perfumado, sazonado con sal, puro y santo;

36del cual pulverizarás una parte que pondrás delante del Testimonio en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, donde Yo me entrevistaré contigo. Será para vosotros cosa santísima.

37Y en cuanto a la composición de este incienso que vas a hacer, no la imitéis para vuestro uso. Lo tendrás por consagrado a Yahvé.

38Cualquiera que prepare otro semejante para aspirar su fragancia, será exterminado de en medio de su pueblo.”

1Facies quoque altare ad adolendum thymiama, de lignis setim,

2habens cubitum longitudinis, et alterum latitudinis, id est, quadrangulum, et duos cubitos in altitudine. Cornua ex ipso procedent.

3Vestiesque illud auro purissimo, tam craticulam ejus, quam parietes per circuitum, et cornua. Faciesque ei coronam aureolam per gyrum,

4et duos annulos aureos sub corona per singula latera, ut mittantur in eos vectes, et altare portetur.

5Ipsos quoque vectes facies de lignis setim, et inaurabis.

6Ponesque altare contra velum, quod ante arcum pendet testimonii coram propitiatorio quo tegitur testimonium, ubi loquar tibi.

7Et adolebit incensum super eo Aaron, suave fragrans, mane. Quando componet lucernas, incendet illud:

8et quando collocabit eas ad vesperum, uret thymiama sempiternum coram Domino in generationes vestras.

9Non offeretis super eo thymiama compositionis alterius, nec oblationem, et victimam, nec libabitis libamina.

10Et deprecabitur Aaron super cornua ejus semel per annum, in sanguine quod oblatum est pro peccato, et placabit super eo in generationibus vestris. Sanctum sanctorum erit Domino.

11Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:

12Quando tuleris summam filiorum Israël juxta numerum, dabunt singuli pretium pro animabus suis Domino, et non erit plaga in eis, cum fuerint recensiti.

13Hoc autem dabit omnis qui transit ad nomen, dimidium sicli juxta mensuram templi (siclus viginti obolos habet); media pars sicli offeretur Domino.

14Qui habetur in numero, a viginti annis et supra, dabit pretium.

15Dives non addet ad medium sicli, et pauper nihil minuet.

16Susceptamque pecuniam, quæ collata est a filiis Israël, trades in usus tabernaculi testimonii, ut sit monimentum eorum coram Domino, et propitietur animabus eorum.

17Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:

18Facies et labrum æneum cum basi sua ad lavandum: ponesque illud inter tabernaculum testimonii et altare. Et missa aqua,

19lavabunt in ea Aaron et filii ejus manus suas ac pedes,

20quando ingressuri sunt tabernaculum testimonii, et quando accessuri sunt ad altare, ut offerant in eo thymiama Domino,

21ne forte moriantur; legitimum sempiternum erit ipsi, et semini ejus per successiones.

22Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen,

23dicens: Sume tibi aromata, primæ myrrhæ et electæ quingentos siclos, et cinnamomi medium, id est, ducentos quinquaginta siclos, calami similiter ducentos quinquaginta,

24casiæ autem quingentos siclos, in pondere sanctuarii, olei de olivetis mensuram hin:

25faciesque unctionis oleum sanctum, unguentum compositum opere unguentarii,

26et unges ex eo tabernaculum testimonii, et arcam testamenti,

27mensamque cum vasis suis, et candelabrum, et utensilia ejus, altaria thymiamatis,

28et holocausti, et universam supellectilem quæ ad cultum eorum pertinet.

29Sanctificabisque omnia, et erunt Sancta sanctorum; qui tetigerit ea, sanctificabitur.

30Aaron et filios ejus unges, sanctificabisque eos, ut sacerdotio fungantur mihi.

31Filiis quoque Israël dices: Hoc oleum unctionis sanctum erit mihi in generationes vestras.

32Caro hominis non ungetur ex eo, et juxta compositionem ejus non facietis aliud, quia sanctificatum est, et sanctum erit vobis.

33Homo quicumque tale composuerit, et dederit ex eo alieno, exterminabitur de populo suo.

34Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen: Sume tibi aromata, stacten et onycha, galbanum boni odoris, et thus lucidissimum; æqualis ponderis erunt omnia:

35faciesque thymiama compositum opere unguentarii, mistum diligenter, et purum, et sanctificatione dignissimum.

36Cumque in tenuissimum pulverem universa contuderis, pones ex eo coram tabernaculo testimonii, in quo loco apparebo tibi. Sanctum sanctorum erit vobis thymiama.

37Talem compositionem non facietis in usus vestros, quia sanctum est Domino.

38Homo quicumque fecerit simile, ut odore illius perfruatur, peribit de populis suis.

1Thou shalt make also an altar to burn incense, of setim wood.

2It shall be a cubit in length, and another in breadth, that is, foursquare, and two in height. Horns shall go out of the same.

3And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold, as well as the grate thereof, as the walls round about and the horns. And thou shalt make to it a crown of gold round about,

4And two golden rings under the crown on either side, that the bars may be put into them, and the altar be carried.

5And thou shalt make the bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold.

6And thou shalt set the altar over against the veil, that hangeth before the ark of the testimony before the propitiatory wherewith the testimony is covered, where I will speak to thee.

7And Aaron shall burn sweet smelling incense upon it in the morning. When he shall dress the lamps, he shall burn it:

8And when he shall place them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.

9You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition nor oblation, and victim, neither shall you offer libations.

10And Aaron shall pray upon the horns thereof once a year, with the blood of that which was offered for sin, and shall make atonement upon it in your generations. It shall be most holy to the Lord.

11And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

12When thou shalt take the sum of the children of Israel according to their number, every one of them shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there shall be no scourge among them, when they shall be reckoned.

13And this shall every one give that passeth at the naming, half a sicle according to the standard of the temple. A sicle hath twenty obols. Half a sicle shall be offered to the Lord.

14He that is counted in the number from twenty years and upwards, shall give the price.

15The rich man shall not add to half a sicle, and the poor man shall diminish nothing.

16And the money received which was contributed by the children of Israel, thou shalt deliver unto the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may be merciful to their souls.

17And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

18Thou shalt make also a brazen laver with its foot, to wash in: and thou shalt set it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And water being put into it,

19Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:

20When they are going into the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they are to come to the altar, to offer on it incense to the Lord,

21Lest perhaps they die. It shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his seed by successions.

22And the Lord spoke to Moses,

23Saying: Take spices, of principal and chosen myrrh five hundred sicles, and of cinnamon half so much, that is, two hundred and fifty sicles, of calamus in like manner two hundred and fifty.

24And of cassia five hundred sicles by the weight of the sanctuary, of oil of olives the measure hin:

25And thou shalt make the holy oil of unction, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer,

26And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,

27And the table with the vessels thereof, the candlestick and furniture thereof, the altars of incense,

28And of holocaust, and all the furniture that belongeth to the service of them.

29And thou shalt sanctify all, and they shall be most holy: he that shall touch them shall be sanctified.

30Thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.

31And thou shalt say to the children of Israel: This oil of unction shall be holy unto me throughout your generations.

32The flesh of man shall not be anointed therewith, and you shall make none other of the same composition, because it is sanctified, and shall be holy unto you.

33What man soever shall compound such, and shall give thereof to a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.

34And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight.

35And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.

36And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.

37You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.

38What man soever shall make the like, to enjoy the smell thereof, he shall perish out of his people.
